A CIA employee accused of leaking classified information assessing Israel's earlier plans to attack Iran was ordered by a federal judge Thursday to face felony charges in Virginia.

Asif William Rahman was arrested in Cambodia on Tuesday and expected to appear in federal court in Guam.

The CIA official, Asif Rahman, who worked in Cambodia, was charged with releasing top-secret documents the day after Israel struck Iran.

An Israeli minister indicated that a ceasefire was closer than at any point since the war began, though he said a sticking point was ensuring Israel retains freedom to act inside Lebanon should any deal be violated.

Israeli airstrikes hit sites in Beirut's southern suburbs, setting explosions between buildings in the area known as Dahiyeh. Israel said it was targeting "Hezbollah facilities and interests" after issuing evacuation warnings prior to the airstrikes.
