The excavation took place in Sandomierz-Mokoszyn, where researchers initially aimed to validate the presence of a settlement linked to the Funnelbeaker culture, dating back to around 3500 B.C.E.
They initially believed they would find remains of the Funnelbeaker culture, also known as “the first farmers of Scandinavia,” who lived in the Middle Neolithic period between 3700 and 3200 BCE.
