Baalbek, in northeastern Lebanon, has increasingly come under attack as the Israeli military expands its campaign against the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah. Dozens of people have been killed and most of the city’s population has fled.

The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the latest round of Israeli-Hezbollah conflict on Oct. 8, 2023 had reached 3,136, with injuries rising to 13,979, the Lebanese Health Ministry said on Saturday.

At least seven people have been killed and 46 injured following Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon's coastal city of Tyre, the Lebanese health ministry said on Saturday.
