The population of homeless veterans reached a new low in 2024, according to the White House. In the past year, the departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development oversaw a 7.5% reduction in homeless veterans.

According to the latest count, veteran homelessness has decreased by 7.5% since 2023 and is at its lowest since 2009. On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced the results of the 2024 Point-in-Time (PIT) count showing that homelessness among veterans decreased by 7.
